pipe or bong?

sooo i have a chance of getting my hands on salvia extract but i have nothing to smoke it out of. i have no experience with mj and it's paraphernalia so i'm wondering what do you suggest i should get considering i'd like to keep it small and use it for mj and salvia.

i'm currently browsing azarius but i could use some advice.

For salvia I'd say bong is the way to go. For mary, each smoking device offers its own dandiness

a five gallon gravity bong, with a nickle bowl, and some 20x is what's actually BEST for salvia  :yesnod:

bong is definitely the way to go if you want to break through. thing is, there's a big price difference between pipes and bongs. before i got my bong, when i wanted to water filter my smoke (and actually the only two times i smoked salvia), i would just fasten my bowl (pipe) to a 1 liter water bottle. like so



the tube used to connect pipe to bottle was an empty bic pen tube. it happened to fit perfectly into the mouthpiece of my pipe. also, that picture doesn't have a carb-hole drawn, but basically just cut a small hole somewhere above the water line that you cover while pulling a hit, then release when you want to clear it.

it's ghetto as fuck, but it'll save you from having to buy a big ole bong.

if ya wanna make something, u might wanna try a furniture store, theres always colored glass lamp things that look just like bongs for $10, u can drill into them and make a professional looking bong.

with metal, resin usually cakes way more to it then glass

theres no such thing as a metal bong, at least i've never seen one. there are acrylic (plastic), clay or something similar, and glass bongs. glass is the best quality but has much more of a chance of breaking then the acyrlic.

yea i haven't seen a metal bong, im sure there out there though. with the resin i was comparing it to the bowls and bats i have used and how they would get caked with resin and would be hard to hit. i had a acrylic bong way back, with that though, every time your gonna smoke do ya really want your piece to be a 1oz piece of plastic, i look at it if ya cant afford a good bong then go with a nice bubbler or a bowl.

absolutely, im in complete agreement. i would wait on the bong if you can't afford a decent glass one, doesn't have to be big but the glass should be strong. if not, pick up a nice glass bubbler or pipe, nothing wrong with that.
