Uhh. Yeah. You didn't figure that out like 15 years ago when your friend cried because he scraped his knee, but a worse scrape didn't even bother you?

oh i thought the revelation was about how color effects emotion, and how it can be used to relate emotion.

oh wow! I used to think about this a while back. What if we all saw different colors, but were raised using the same words to describe them. So something that looks what I think is green, actually looks like what I think is orange in your eyes. Since we were all raised being taught "the fire truck is red" etc. we have just learned definitions for our own visions of color. I never knew there was an actual name to this concept.

I watched my friend break his wrist once back in grade school. He bawled like crazy. Hopping around holding his arm. 'You could tell he had broke something.
So two years later when I broke my wrist at school, and it didn't hurt that much...I assumed it wasn't broken. Went skiing and shoveled driveways for two weeks. Then I fell on it again, so my mom made me go to the hospital where I found out that I broke my radius in two.

I think vibratory qualia are objective, because colors are frequencies of vibration and our eyes are all built the same.
It would be like saying when I hear an A note, you hear a D which obviously isn't true because unlike colors, we can hum audible frequencies.
Anyway, I thought this thread was going to be about how something colored red isn't really red, it's all colors but red - red is the only frequency it reflects...

But isn't that what is meant by "color"?
Color is what is apparent about an object...not what it is. Color is the reflected light of an object. Look up the definition for "color" (the noun).

Im more intruiged by the emotional aspect of it. For instance my loosing everything and not feeling sad vs. someone breaking a finger nail and crying for three hours. This example being weak, i would elaborate in much larger form about not being able to judge how many gallons of gas are in a parking lot with 10 cars. This being analogous to someone who may be raised experimentally to have differnt emotional reactions than a 'normal' person, then putting this person in a 'normal' environment and judging how it afects people involved, kindof like that movie nell. IDK it brings up alot of questions. What if someone didnt feel pain. They still might react to getting hurt by saying owch and rubbing the spot.
