Whats a good online game for my laptop???

I like 1st person shooters and RPG's...

Being a laptop, its not up to much with the graphics!

Its a
1.6ghz Celeron
512 mb ddr2 533 ram
With intel 943gml
DVD

I can play Thief 3 fine but it couldn't handle Farcry.

I've got Quake 3 Arena but I don't know any servers to play other people.

Any suggestions?

damn do i miss cs. my comp laptop should be able to run it for sure but i need to buy a god mouse.

Yeah man, I am now thinking of hooking it up on my laptop now..need to find the old Logitech MX-510 though.

alien arena is built on the quake 3 engine. it's a free open-source game. http://alienarena.org

If you want fps games, there are loads out there... The battle there is finding which one you want to play. As for RPGs (My all time favorite genre), are you looking for MMOs (free of pay?)? or just any type of rpg, online or not? Ive had the urge to play final fantasy 7 8 and 9 again but I don't have the games, so I just downloaded them and now I can play :smile: Btw, ever played final fantasys? AMAZING single rpgs.

From the Steampowered.com site, on CS 1.6:

Minimum: 500 mhz processor, 96mb ram, 16mb video card, Windows 2000/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection

Recommended: 800 mhz processor, 128mb ram, 32mb+ video card, Windows 2000/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection

Doesn't sound like it man, unless you can run Bootcamp or something. GL.

I downloaded FF7 on my laptop but it wouldn't run properly (maybe cuz i'm on vista?) But I have the actual PSX disk so i can still play it on there. There was just something about playing it on my laptop that sounded so much better...

Diablo 2 should run on your laptop, but that game gets boring for me pretty quick. I just got Guild Wars and played it for like a week on mine, but that grew old too...

Oh god.... I just realized i have AOE2 + conquerers expansion on my comp.... Now I know what i'll be doing the next 48 hours...

If your looking for an adiction, there are plenty of MMOs to get hooked on. Diablos, World of Warcraft, FFXI, Guildwars, and many many others... Just try to pick the best addiction :smile:

WoW is fucking addicting. I used to play so much, leveled 2 toons to 70, a couple to 50+, 4 twinks at 19, 1 twink at 29, it wasn't healthy. I have now broken that addiction.

check out shattered galaxy - it's free and a mmorpg with pretty unique gameplay. i can't play it anymore though, got burned out on it when i was 15. but i'm sure it's still around. i just play emulators if i want to play a game nowadays
