Anyone have any reccomendations as far as an acoustic bass that is both affordable and sounds good? I already play guitar but I want to expand to bass as well.

Ibanez makes a pretty decent acoustic bass for a good price.

I'm thinking about getting a bass sometime soon to learn to play on...Haven't played a musical instrument in years and its sad. Any recommendations for this?

The actual physical aspect of playing it and making it sound good will be easy, but knowing what makes a bass guitar unique and not just a lower-sounding guitar takes time.
I think Dean makes a lot of acoustic basses. I don't know if they're any good though.
