My friend said he would make a vaporizer for me using a light bulb and other materials for free. My other friend said that using it can cause cancer and I wanted to know if this was true, or is the lightbulb vaporizers are relatively safe.

lol. i use a lightbulb vape all the time. theres nothign wrong with it. nowadays anything can cause cancer. just make sure you clear the white stuff out of the glass before you use it because that stuff can kill you. other than that i think your friends talking bullshit. go to the waytoomany forums everyone will tell you the same thing

Okay. How good did the vaporizer turn out for you compared to a pipe?

Frosty lightbulbs have a chemical coating to make them look frosty: You obviously don't wanna inhale that. Apparantly, you can effectively remove all of it with alcohol or salt or something...
...or just buy a clear lightbulb
I'm not positive, but I think clear lightbulbs are nothing but good ol' pyrex glass — no chemicals.
Also, they make vaporizing pipes. They're more effective because the glass is thicker (better temperature regulation) and they're more durable; plus, this one has a screen in between the heat chamber and the mouthpiece, so you don't end up sucking your pot into your mouth.

You can also use a bong (preferably a mini one) as a vaporizing pipe. Just use the chamber the water normally goes in as your heat chamber — hold the flame under it. Careful not to heat the rubber sealant on the opening for the stem, if the bong has one.

using a vaporizer is way different. its more of a body high. it takes barely anythign to get high, and you stay high for a LOOONG time. music definately sounds way better after you use a vape. its weird because i didnt use a pipe for like a month and i just used the vape. when i tried a pipe again it got me higher than my first time smoking. youll build up tolerance to it but then smoke out of somethign else and its all good

next time one of your friends says something like this, ask them if they even have any idea why what they're saying might be true.
If they can't answer, or give an evasive answer, please send them to me so I can make fun of them for being a parrot.
