If your findin so many of them there in virginia, then why dont you just go out to find many new fresh ones without bugs in them.

You really do not need to chew little why fly worms. One they will not hurt you but they are common in Psilocybe cubensis and Copelandia/panaeolus species. ANd no, they are not heart worms. If you do eat them in a shroom and many have since the eggs are deposited in the stems and then hatch and the worms make their may up the stalk to the cap and then proceed to eat the caps completely, leaving only a wet gob of gooey liquid where the cap use to be. And they are a good source of protein. mj

yeah and if your picking so many Large psilocybe cubensis' in VIRGINIA right now then why dont you just throw the buggy ones out and go get so many more of the Large fresh psilocybe cubensis' that are known to grow in huge (many) numbers in VIRGINIA this time of year right now in VIRGINIA in the horse pastures this time of year where the psilocybe cubensis' grow in your area of virginia, this time of year, ya know? if theres so many of them growing in virginia right now (ya know, the psilocybe kind) then we should all just pack up our bags and move to virginia...afterall Virginia is where the mushrooms choose to grow, so then it is Virginia where we all will go and come back from the horse pastures with many (many) fresh cubensis in the horse pastures in your area of virginia around this time of yearrr

Yes, mushroom season has officially begun here in VIRGINIA. The cow fields are all seething with dankness and the magical fungus is in abundance. Come to Virginia. If you dare. Muwahahahahahahahaha

After thiorty years of picking mmagic mushrooms, I must say that I never ever found any P. cubensis or Copelandia's growing in horseshit. only Pn. sphinctrinus.Oh well. GGreatOne2345, now you have to go back to Virgina and look in the cow shit instead of the horse shit. No shit! yeah no Shit. mjshroomer. I have no recorded listing for P. cubensis i as far north as Virgina. one person years ago told me he found three in Cairo, Illinois. He is an expert in the field yet deposited no Cairo, Illinois specimens in any herbarium to verify that they occurred there.

you wanna know why you have no listing for cubensis in virginia? --its because they dont grow in virginia. i can tell you that right now, they just wont and dont grow naturally in that state. as far as cairo illinois (ive looked on the map and even been near it before), i dont want to call that a fluke but i just dont see how that could possibly happen. it is nowhere near the enviroment that the cube would naturally grow. thank you, i just had to get that off my chest
