Stupid, annoying avatars.... Don't like em

Some avatars that move are allright, but the ones w/ wild and repeating movements piss me off.  They're distracting.

And then theirs the dumb ones... like this


I mean, wtf is this guy wearing?
wtf is up with the hair?
And the whole ensemble makes me want to punch the monitor (which is expensive :-(

Turn those fucking things off:

Go to Home in the upper-left
Go to Display preferences, number of shown topics, languages, colors...
Check "No" for "View user's pictures with their posts?"

You can block individual images with Adblock for Firefox (you just right-click the image you wanna block). Opera also has the ability to block images.

I love animated avatars. I will never have an avatar that is not animated.

a lot of times I come on these boards stoned and all the animated avatars hypnotize me and sometimes I catch myself staring at someone's animated avatar for several minutes. They're mesmerizing.

They can be cool when tripping too. TRB's old stick figures fighting kept me mesmerized once for a good 5 mins.
