I wanna shoot myself in the fucking face for this, but I have to vote Florida.
Back to back NCAA basketball championships. First time to win both the BCS championship and NCAA championship in the same school year. Florida Marlins win a world series. Florida State and Miami both college football forces a short time ago. High school football output is disgusting. Miami Heat win a NBA championship. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Superbowl. That's a championship in every major sport except hockey. Shit, they may even have one there, I can't remember Stanely Cup winners beyond a year.

Florida? Are you fucking joking? College basketball? One team in California has won more titles than all the teams in Fla combined. And doubled. College football? Slight edge, maybe, to Fla. Baseball? Only NY counts. Pro hoops? Cal or Mass. Pro football? It's wide open with Fla not even in the running.

It said the past century, not the past 15 minutes.

Michigan is up there as well in general solidness.

University of Michigan for college football.
Michigan State for basketball.
Detroit for NBA, MLB, NHL.

The Lions will always suck, however,

Indiana's another I didn't include on the list but could've.
Hoosier basketball and Fighting Irish football are about as legendary as they come. And great basketball players from the state are plentiful even if they didn't play locally after H.S. Was there an NFL team in Indy before the Colts left Baltimore? And there are the Pacers, a class NBA organization and ABA before that with several Hall of Famers, but 0 chips.

I'd have to say California, just because the sheer number of franchises.

Dodgers of the late 80's

Angels within the past couple years

Giants, Padres

Lakers, who've won NBA championships multiple times in various decades

NFL:

LA Rams, not all that great,

Raiders

Chargers

49ers of the late 80's

College Football:

UCLA, USC, Cal, not much else worth mentioning, stanford to a small extent

College BBall:

UCLA.....'nuff said.

although admittedly, College hoops in california hasn't been all that great.

Good points, I'd say Cali as well.  Plus Beverly Hills Jiu-Jitsu is there :ninja:

Also the LA Kings and San Jose Sharks have both been great at times.

Overall, NY York is somewhat better than I thought they were. I still don't think they are the best, but they are up there.

SU also has a national championship in football, plus two other NCAAb finals appearances.
I think there's something like 12 other teams ever that have a championship in both (Mich. St. is one of them.)
