Anyone else notice a general increase in quality of otd/pub?

Everyone is always ready to write those "the pub is not what it used to be :bitch:" threads, but no one really says anything when its back on track. (which is maybe how it should be) 

I've also notice OTD becoming much more friendly and wholesome.  A pub for people who can really tell the truth and not worry about hurting feelings/egos (with a sense of humor that takes a moment to understand but is pretty fucking funny) 


As far as the pub goes, it just seems like there are a nice amount of interesting threads/good posters. It was going downhill for a bit.  Nice to see things back to normal.  All in waves..:thumbup:.

the site is not being "ruined" simply because we have lively social forums not centered directly around mushrooms. if you want to talk mushrooms and only mushrooms, don't visit the community forums. that easy. stay in the advanced mycology, mush cult, edibles/medicinals, et cetera. i know that may be a hard concept to grasp for someone who quite obviously has whining deeply ingrained into his nature, but perhaps you should try anyways.

both the pub and the otd serve a purpose. they're places to shoot the shit about any old thing you like. otd is more of a no hold barred free-for-all, but the similar shoot-the-shit attitude, just generally somewhat more vulgar.

and who the fuck are you to judge people that frequent the otd as scum? not only that, but how in the world does it "attract scum". whatever scum does come, they come for the same reason as anyone else. and that's mushrooms. not because they heard about the infamous shroomery otd forum.
