ignorant friends

So I have been in college about 4 years with few friends here. I do have family in the area(and live with) so its not like I am always or often alone. However, it seems lately several people in my classes have been trying to be my friends. Great! Right?

These people are the kind of people who worship O'Reilly and hate all those that are different than themselves. I doubt they have positive views of drugs, especially hallucinogens.

So now I am faced with the decision of being friends with ignorant racist neoconservatives or continue living the life of never partying or anything with my fellow classmates.

What to do?

Don't limit yourself. A friends is a friend. Who knows, maybe they really ain't as crazy as you thought. Won't know until you try.

One of my life long friends is very conservative but friendship is really much deeper then all that bs. Get to know these guys, they might be cool as hell.

friend is the wrong word to use
you should make "fake friendly associates" with them, you know what i mean
because just as you stated, they would probably not like you if they really knew you

It is good to have "fake friendly associates" for just the reasons you want, to go partying, to meet bitches.

Take a look into their world. You can always opt out. And meanwhile look for the local nerd community.

Bongrips, intelligent conversation and Dungeons & Dragons are a great way to spend an evening :thumbup:
