This tweeky fish
    #7462335 - 09/27/07 09:52 PM (16 years, 4 months ago)

I got 2 goldfish today for my new tank. One was looking pretty limpy and didnt even make it home. The other one was kinda freakin out and swimming pretty fast as soon as the girl bagged him. I figured he was just a little scared. He kept trying to swim through the bag like he was claustraphobic or something like that.

So he's been in the tank for about 5 hours now, and he still wont calm down. As soon as i let him out he was on the bottom scrounging for food. Then i found him eating my new plants. So i put some flakes in and he was goin coo-coo for cocoo puffs over them.

This fish is nuts, he's spent the last hour riding the air bubbles. He rushes to the top, then swims against them to the bottom, does a loop and get's back in for another cycle. Up and down. And this aint no small air stone, it's a full 6 inch bubble stone that's going pretty strong.

right now he's eating EVERYTHING he can find. He's going to be dead by morning; i know it.

Or maybe he's just a clean freak and wants to pick up all the dirt from his new house. I mean, have you ever seen a goldfish eat for 4 hours straight. He's getting everyting off the ocean floor and anything floating.

Why didn't you go back to the store to replace the fish that died on the way home?

I hope it calms down soon.

I had a goldfish that would randomly freak out like that every now and then. At first it scared me, but eventually I just got used to it..
