I have lived a sheltered life. I surf the internet, read, and associate with my fairly intelligent friends. I am used to talking about political topics, and I generally am pretty disgusted with it all together. We certainly do not live in a fascist state, far from it, but I see the buddings of something terrible. It is easy to trivialize the scandals of the administration, they are not atrocities in any sense. It worries me though, that so few people realize that these sorts of things happen in societies that begin to close in.
I am not trying to incite fear, only to incite understanding. We Americans need to realize that our country is not as it was when it was founded. The founders of this country wanted to create a state that would be feared by the people, not control them. The foundations of this are largely forgotten.
It is not too late. This campaign is not for the purpose of inciting a revolution, I'm not some idiot conspiracy nut. The goal is only to educate our citizens that these things can happen, and it is never obvious. We must educate if we are to maintain our freedom.
Are you free? More importantly, what is free? Freedom is not living comfortably. Freedom is not watching your favorite shows, reading your favorite blogs, or listening to your favorite bands. In contemporary society, these things will never be lost, at least, not at once. Freedom is perfect Chaos. The ability to stray. Freedom is saying what you want, when you want, and not having to fear harm, political, psychological, or physical. We all know of the student who was tasered on the campus this week. Yes, he was a doucebag, but he was a victim as well. Ask yourself, if I asked someone an uncomfortable question, would I feel ok being taken away by police? If I plead not to be electrocuted while lying on the ground helpless, only to be shocked into submission, would I be glad to be free?
If you think there is no problem, that is fine, continue your life, be comfortable, watch television, get numb. Your life will not change. If you want the ability to be free, truly free, and not have to fear punishment, the please, I beg of your assistance.
I have done all of the work for you, here are a set of fliers that you can print and distribute around your campus, workplace, public park, nude beach, town square or anywhere else you can think of. It isn't much, but it's a start. If you want, feel free to create your own. I am only one person, and I do not want do this alone, but dammit, if no one else helps, I will do it myself.

Yes, it has its flaws, but its about the message, not the argument itself. The sedentary mentality must end for us to remain free, and that alone is what I seek to achieve.

Feel free to mock me, I know most will, it is the nature of these things. I am no conspiracy nut, no kook, I have only recently seen this trend myself. I am simply a scared American, and I ask of your help.
