Bill hicks is overrated

#7420683 - 09/17/07 05:44 PM (19 years, 18 days ago)

just because he talks about drugs everyone here is all into him. I got some of his jokes off the internet and didn't laugh once at about 100 jokes. Post one joke of his that is actually funny, or intelligent or origional to prove me wrong.

He does tell some good stories, mockeries, and observational humor.

The original poster is jealous of Melvin's success and his position in the counterculture. Go fuck your mother.

i dont like the way he repeats himself. like in interviews instead of getting into the moment and be fresh hed just reuse some old shit from his routines

its not just because how he talks about drugs, but i guess some of the things that going along with using drugs, like understanding how incredibly fucked up and corrupt the world is. he knew bullshit when he saw it, and definetly opened my eyes in ways, at least

I hate to be the one to spoil this for you, but almost everyone interviewed on television has a 'routine', a little outline of what they want to talk about or promote that is rehearsed ahead of time in what is called 'the pre-interview'. There really isn't such a thing as a celebrity 'on the fly interview'.

also, professional wrestling is fake. sorry.

I agree. He's alright but I've never thought he was the bee's knees or anything.

I'm the same way with Mitch Hedberg. The stuff I've heard is good, but it's nothing to be obsessed with as far as I'm concerned.

ya Mitch Hedberg never really made me laugh but I can understand why other people like him alot. I still like Bill Hicks, he isn't a laugh riot but he is entertaining and he has some great quotes.
