Canary Islands. One of the islands is an active volcano, and the soil on it is very water laden. If a eruption occors, the water will flash to steam causing the mountain to fall to the sea, kinda like Mt. Saint Helen.

But i give a bigger chance to a hurrcane or earthquake striking NY.
