Okay i need some help here with Liquid Culture.. i finally did my first 3 LC jars. i wanted to do this a few weeks back but got lazy so Friday morning i went ahead and followed the tek... i used 1 10cc syringe for three jars... after that i placed the jars on top of my modem and put cardboard to block light out.. i swear that same day i noticed stuff floating around i swirled the jars a bit and placed them back but this time not on the modem... let it sit there all day sat and checked them and i saw more stuff in the jars swirled again and left them... i just checked them now and i see stuff in the jars but its really not like thread its more like little balls and but some of it is stating to cling together..

what tempature should the jars be in?
how many times a day should they be swirled?
how long before i can use the lc? or how long should i let them grow mycelium?

also, when i look through the jars at the mycelium, its not white should it be white now or does that come later?

what type of lc did you make? honey, karo?
I try to avoid swirling the jars every day. Every few days seems fine.

First thing, is it a honey LC or something different?

I wouldn't incubate above 80 degrees, I've done a couple LCs and they incubate fine even around 74-77 degrees. You should only swirl them once a day, thats all they really need. LCs can take up to two weeks I believe, but around a week to a week and a half your LC is useable. Generally when you see a good amount of myc floating around in there, or you see enough to be sucked up by a syringe even its good to go.

my texan lc had brown mycelium and it grew mushrooms wich i just ate 10 minutes agoo :smile:

it's normal for honey LC's to have some sediment at the bottom that can resemble myc, and the brown colour is from partial caramelization of the honey.
