Favorite beers?

I'm currently going through a beerphase of exploring all the tasty beers I can get my hands on.  I've gone through Deshuttes, Lost Coast, and I'm working on North Coast Brewery and The Ruby Mountain Brewing Company.

I'm a fan of Brown Ales and darker beers. :smile:


Raspberry Brown by lost coast and Hazelnut Brown Nectar by Rogue are good as well.

My recent favorite is the Deschutes Inversion IPA. I usually get a six pack, which actually works out to be an 8 pack of regular beer since the content is 6.8% instead of 5%. If I am feeling cheap I go for a forty of Olde Engligh High Gravity 800. Most of the people around here (pacific northwest) like New Belgium Fat Tire. The stuff is okay, but I always get anything else available because Fat Tire is becoming too commonplace. Pete's wicked ale and Blue Moon both suck unless you can't get any other micros, in which case you should move! All I have really had is macros and micros, never tried any specialty beer yet like Chimay, but I have heard it is very nice and will try soon, maybe tonight actually. As far as the type of beer, I like them all, but I usually prefer variety over anything else, and in case variety is lacking then I go for IPA or seasonal ales. Well, that pretty much says it all for me.

Sam Adams Boston Ale and Lager

Christian Moerlein Select Lager (Local Brewery. Damn good)

Guiness Extra Stout

Smithwick's (Good shit)

Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale (This is probably my favorite. It's from a brewery down in Lexington. It's got a good alcohol content, somewhere in the 6-7 percent range, I can't remember which. They age it in a bourbon barrel. You can taste it, too, but it's a mild hint, not like the beer tastes like bourbon. Seriously, this beer is fucking tasty. Pretty smooth, too.)

Kentucky Light Beer (Kolsch style beer from the same brewery. Only light beer i'll touch. Just for the flavor alone.)

Rolling Rock (This is my standby beer. When i'm just running to the gas station for a beer run, this is what i'm coming back with.)

As far ass mass-market brews go, my favorite as of now would have to be Newcastle Brown Ale, with Sam Adams seasonals coming in a close second.

When I can find it, I'm especially partial to anything by Stone Brewing Co..

So you like water with some alcohol in it (keystone...) Man that shit is only a last resort for me I dont like to be cheap about beer because shitty tasting beer makes me miserable

But seriously.. I only drink those occasionally, not like when I was 16 and I lived off of colt 45. ick.

Now I usually drink something like Pacific Pilsner or Lucky Lager.
I also enjoy a nice Heineken

I also drink Molson Canadian or Budweiser... if they are giving away cool shit in the boxes. I bought kokanee last week cause they came in a cooler-backpack, but it broke after the first night so I was pissed off. But it was pretty cool that they let me in the bar with it, i guess they didn't know what it was.
