Teach me some new words .. again

Well.. more sesquipedalians are finding their way into my everyday vocabulary; ameliorating it further.

Now for a second round..

I'm pretty good with curse words; I'm looking for generally useful words that can be slipped into casual discussion (and job interviews/ uni applications :wink:) to further ameliorate my vocabulary..

I read it as "knee-science", but it probably does not relate to the study of knees or any kind of kneeology.

I always thought facetious meant being humorous in an inappropriate situation.

Like making jokes in a serious circumstance.

I looked up the definition, and it doesn't really support my view. But if you can please use facetious in a sentence I would be most grateful.
