some guy i was chatting with on aim turned out to be an oldschool aol kid(huge scene, was anyone here involved ? lmfao)

i feel like such a dork, but the whole scene i took part in.. the early warez groups(now mainly IRC), porn(agian, irc), music(irc.. again).. all the classic chats where all the netnerds hung out.. its all dead :frown:

man aol has changed for the worse :frown:  :thumbdown: :thumbdown:

aol was definitely a tough addiction a beat via dsl, but now, its like when i come back to it and look back to see what i was addicted too, its laughable.

Using AOL for internet access is like parking in the handicap spot. Everyone wants to do it but they know it's just not right.

I don't know her, but the generalizations do tend to fit the people in many cases.

Whenever I think of AOL, I think of that annoying mom on the AOL commercial who gives her baby to one of the executives, then stands up on the table and talks about how she wants to block out all the negative sites and monitor what her kid is doing, all for the same price. I really despise those types of people.

LOL had to quote it again. Everyone knew about AOL before the commercials and no one wanted to be part of that shit. My weekly routine was throwing their fucking CD's into the microwave and watching those fuckers fry.
