 Colonization time....Roads Poo Tek?????

I did two pans {9x9 and 3.5 inches deep.} one and a half PF jars per pan. I did these six days ago. I started seeing growth the next day.Right now they are speckled with pebble to quarter sized growth but I think they got along way to go to be considered fully colonized.
How long does it usually take to get a pan fully colonized?
Should I mix up the poo again or scratch the growth around?
Last but not least I have a piece of grass growing out of one.....I thought pasturizing should of killed stuff like that?

sounds like something might be seriously wrong.
I never have had a casing that took over a week to fully colonize.....unless something went wrong.
What strain are you working with?
Did you make sure that the poo was moist and not too wet?
A few people were making their poo too wet.
I had a few not colonize for me when the poo was too wet.
not sure why you are having grass growing out of the poo.
try tipping the casing and seeing if water will drain out of it.
if it does drain....you might have made the poo too wet!

I tipped and no water came out.I'm wondering if it's my horse dung thats the problem,it had twigs and stuff in it.The guy I got it from has a big pile of it outside his barn and he told me to dig the stuff off the bottom cause it was older {Why that matters I don't know} Plus the growth I do have isn't near as white as PF jars get.It's more of a off white gray color.I dug into one of them just to see and it is speckled through out the whole container.
I'll get some differnt shit and try again..........How long does it usually take to fully colonize?

usually 5 to 7 days.
you might just let it keep colonizing.....it might make it.
was the horse poo completely dried out poo ?
hawaiians do fine on poo.....so thats not the problem.
did you break up the cake into small peices?
and did you mix it up really good?

I ground the cakes up in a blender they were BB sized some smaller some bigger.
the horse manure was wet because we got like a week of rain but it was not fresh manure. The guy said the piles been there forever and the stuff on the bottom was old.
I'll just let it go for awhile and see what happens.
I'm thinking of dumping one in a garbage bag shaking the hell out of it and returning it to the pan......Might work might not if not I got more jars growing and will try different manure ..........thanks
