What the BLEEP do we know?

Holy cow, that was an amazing film. I could have done without the dramatic life of the deaf/mute woman alongside the quantum physics commentary, but still, it opened my awareness to a lot of things.

Anyone else see this film? What did you think of it?

it was craptastic, didn't enjoy it all, it was like quantum physics for people with downs syndrome.

Yeah, that woman who channels the reptilian spirits sure was convincing. :whatever:

One of the guys who was in the film even thinks it was garbage. They totally misrepresenting what he was trying to say, so it sounded like he was as big a crackpot as the rest of those people.

Prof. Albert appeared in the controversial movie What the Bleep Do We Know!? (2004). He was disappointed with the final product, claiming that the film's producers used selective editing to make him appear to agree with claims that he completely disagreed with.

According to a Popular Science article, he is "outraged at the final product." The article states that Albert granted the filmmakers a near-four hour interview about quantum mechanics being unrelated to consciousness or spirituality. His interview was then edited and incorporated into the film in a way that misrepresented his views. In the article, Albert also expresses his feelings of gullibility after having been "taken" by the filmmakers. Although noted that Albert is listed as a scientist taking part in the sequel to What the Bleep, called "Down the Rabbit Hole" , this sequel is a "director's cut", composed of extra footage from the filming of the first movie.

I love this film. I kinda regret leaving it at a friends house in a different state.ut it was amazing none the less.:heart:

If you want to watch a good documentary about quantum mechanics and all the things we don't know...watch What We Still Don't Know. It is a far better film on the same general subject.

Hated it. Intriguing subject matter, but it was presented in a completely contrived and misinformed manner. If you're interested in the topic, though, I'd suggest you read some of Gary Zukav's books, which are boring as fuck, but a hell of a lot more informative that What the Bleep.

I agree with the others here, it is complete crap.

If you do some research you will see it is made by a cult and scientists generally dismiss it.

edit- In fact I was having lunch with one of my physics professors yesterday, and she was talking shit about it.

Yeah that lady was annoying. I think "The Secret" is better with the message. It's a little glittered up but still has a lot of good ideas.
