On this week's show:
Featured New Rock Album: Wilco, *Sky Blue Sky* (2007)...the legendary Chicago band returns after a three-year absence...less overtly experimental than their 2004 release, *A Ghost is Born*, but warmer, more vulnerable, and it rocks very fine when it wishes...good to have them back...
Featured Classic Rock Album: Yes, *Going For the One* (1977)...the year was not a good one to be a progressive rock band still committed to long, intricate, mystical songs, yet 30 years later, when most of the punk music that dominated that time has long lost its mesmer, this album stands powerfully still...
Storybook Time: Epilogue to *The Long Trip: A Prehistory of Psychedelia* Paul Devereux...
Readings from *Why?* fixtion & *Many Musics* poems...& this week's featured artist is the Velvet Underground, caught live back in 1969 in San Francisco and Dallas, full of raw, smart, dirty power...even perpetually overcast Seattle has been sunny & sweetly cool air of late, this broadcast comes from a rising place, hands open, inviting to all...
Ever growing green & good webcasting from Seattle USA!!
