...is blowing it again. I kept that guy on my DL for the first month of the season, only for him to come back and bust.

I'm still going to hold onto him for some more starts, but he doesn't look the same as last year.

Come back and bust? His last outing he had a perfect game through like 8 1/3 IP until the HR he gave up. He's just got to get settled in better. He'll be alright.

I think it's way to early to make a decision on him one way or the other. He's only had three starts this year (I think): his first start where he was beat up a little against the Devil Rays, a tough game against hot Red Sox bats, and a brilliant outing against Seattle.

If he can keep the composure he had in his last start, he could be great.

The reason I wrote this post was today's debacle

6.1 inn 11 hits, 7 ER against the god damn Rangers.

Like I said, I"ll hold onto him, but I'm smelling a bust. Prove me wrong, Wang!

You're taking a 4-game sample as being indicative of what to expect of his overall performance? After he comes off a near-perfect game? Seems a little silly. Keep in mind Chien Ming Wang was tied for the league lead in games won last year (19) and came in second in Cy Young voting.

For his career, in 53 starts and two relief appearances, his record is:

28-13 with 3.78 ERA, a WHIP of 1.27, and one save. Opponents are batting .268 against him. (These numbers don't include today's game - so 28-14 with a slight hike in ERA.) Excellent K/BB ratio of 131:87. Only 24 home runs given up in over 360 innings pitched.

So..jump the gun and drop him if you want. Seems like a dumb move to me.

The man strained his hamstring, it's not what you call an easy recovery.  All I'm saying is, 1 out of 4 so far isn't showing me shit.  It shouldn't show a Yankees fan shit either.  He needs to prove to me that he's back.  Cause one good performance doesn't mean a thing.

Well, the ratio is more toward bust, at this moment in time. 3 to 1. Baseball is a game of statistics. It's a long season.
