My question really mostly applies to Medical Marijuana users (because we're not breaking the law like the rest of ye lot! ), but I'd like to have anybody's input.

Now, for those unfamiliar with Cannabis dispensaries (at least in California), the buds are grown by patients (or caregivers), and then sold to the dispensaries, which in turn sell it to us (the end using patients).

My question is this: ATM, these sales are untaxed. Therefore, it is an "untaxed free market", as stated in the article. WHY THE FUCK AM I PAYING SO MUCH FUCKING MONEY FOR MEDICINE??? The buds at the dispensaries are (usually) just as expensive, if not more so than street prices! It's fucking ridiculous! And I'm not blaming the dispensaries, they ARE in business to make a profit, but at the same time helping others get medication. But why are their growers charging so much? WTF IS THIS BULLSHIT?!

I understand that growing high-grade buds can be expensive, taking into account all of the things that go into it (ie labor, electricity costs, nut. costs, etc). So I think $5 for an ounce is a low estimate. But $75 for 1/8 of their top-grade shit is ridiculous! Some places have caps on their prices (there is one that is quite a drive from my house, but have a $45 cap on all 1/8s, including their kushes).

Obviously, like mushrooms, the ideal solution is for everybody to grow their own. I cannot grow my own at the moment, but I will as soon as I am able. It just really frustrates me that I can get the same, if not better buds, on the street for cheaper! All because I don't want to break a fucking unjust law!

Just so you know the clubs are suppose to be non-profit according to the law so that wonderful club you have to drive to also tacks $20.00 bucks on every 1/8th they sell. Most of the clubs don't even pay you the same day they make you (meaning the grower) wait up to two weeks to get your money.

and $25.00 to $30.00 an 1/8th average isn't that bad for this
