How to make good Thai Stick?

I was thinking next time I buy an ounce I want to try and make thai stick. The plan I have is to buy an ounce and run isopropyl through it then pour the ISO over a nice big bud that weighs a gram then evaporate.

The problem is I don't really know how much isopropyl it will soak up and how much will just leak onto a plate or whatever, or maybe there's some sort of technique to keep the oil from dripping off the bud?

I've never seen a Thai Stick tutorial and I can't find one anywhere, maybe we could find out a technique and make one here on the Shroomery?

Ya I was talking about the idea in the chat calling it Marijuana 20x but somebody kept saying that's what Thai Stick is. Most sites say it's just premium seedless bud skewered with and tied on to stems. But there's also rumors saying it's ridiculously potent and dipped in opium. I wouldn't be surprised if it is just dipped in honey oil or something.

I guess I could just make the isopropyl extract and then put that in a dish then put the bud in that and rotate it every hour or so, then at least it wouldn't all be on one side. I like smoking oil and all it just seems like it would be cool if you could convert all your weed into one ridiculously potent bud. I'm trying to find the sweet spot where it would just be really potent, not covered in black oil. Nobody has done it before? It would be kind of cool to be the first to do something, or at least the first to do it and write about it.

First, ya need a time machine. Go back about 30-35 years:smirk:...BTW, no solvents or chemicals were  used in the sticks I used to smoke, just really good pot in its day...7-15 dollars each.:bigjoint:

Well with that in mind...

Why not make a butane extraction first, then "water it down" some with isopropyl alcohol and soak the buds in that.

That way, your oil isn't black with all that extra gunk :wink:

Maybe I'll try just making the butane extract and putting a bud in the dish the butane sprays into then roll it a couple times while the butane sprays. Either just do it all at once or spray a bit until it's saturated, wait for it to dry, spray again, over and over so not much lands in the actual dish. I hate having to scrape oil out of a dish I can never get it all.  :thumbdown:

In South Texas, I asked this guy that used to roll with the Mexican Cartels and shit what it was. He said that it was marijuana (good shit, like Acapulco Gold or Oaxacan) tied to the stem and dipped in hash oil.

The sticks I handled in the 70s were never opiated.:shrug: On the other hand, Nepalese Temple Balls were loaded with opium.:drooling:

I love that nepalese temple ball picture so much I've seen it a couple times now, makes me drool every time.

There's also a cool hash picture out there where it's a circular piece pressed down with a peace sign stamp.

I want to get higher than I can by smoking weed, after a couple bowls my lungs can't really take it anymore. Probably my asthma mostly. At least this way it won't be straight oil which sucks because it tends to melt into the stem instead of smoking.
