Tahini

I got myself some tahini. Anyone use it for anything other than Humus? Recipes would be amazing.

I know everyone knows how to make humus but here's my recipe I just made for Sundried Tomato humus - it was fucking ay.


1 can of chickpeas, drained
1 1/2 tablespoons of tahini
3 spring onions (scallions) chopped
5 sundried tomatoes
2 cloves garlic chopped
a little water
a little corriander powder
salt n pepper
healthy squeeze of lemon juice

put on ingredients in blender and blend. eat with carrots and celery............ :drooling:

You can make a really good salad dressing with it, some garlic, lemon juice and olive oil in a blender.

Good dressing.

You can make a dip with 1 ounce tomato paste, 1 ounce tahini, 1 clove chopped garlic, 2 teaspoons soy sauce.
Mix together ingredients while slowly adding water until it gets to the consistency for dip.

Halva is made with tahini and honey. It's a middle eastern confection.

i love the lemon tahini that comes with alot of lebanese foods IE: fatier and shish tawook and such


its easy as hell, few spices, your personal chioces, lemon zest, juice, and tahini
you like the raw tahini better or what? me and my wife do

You could mix it with some shelled pistachios, saffron, and sweetner, for a dessert.

Basically throw it on anything you can think of. Dip toasted pita bread, or straight up put it on rice with some cumin, sesame oil, and lemon juice.

I like the raw tahini, the sauce made with lemon and zest and spices is very good on salmon.

1 TBS TAHINI
1 TBS DARK (Kayro OR comprible dark ) SYRUP (YOUR CHOICE - not molassas.)
mix well with back of chop stick. it will get smoother the longer you stir it, as it heats up.when it is as smooth as you like
eat.
you can use a spoon if you are fancy. i use the chopstick.
