I am a female. :smile: However, I totally understand and support any guys admiration, appreciation or acknowledgement of Lee's skills and or intellect and disapline of training and focus.  :thumbup:

All the more I would think you would appreciate Lee applying eastern philosophy and zen mode to the art.

I think we were exposed to the hokey aspect of Hollywood entertainment which makes for a bias. Had we been privileged with private lessons, I think Lee would've made a different impression.

Then again, I can see where some might find his sense of humor hokey. He didn't like flat out cockiness he said in an interview so maybe, hokey was his compromise for softening his ego persona. :shrug:

Oh, and Bruce Lee does 1000 push ups while using chi energy to keep his hands an inch off the ground. :evil:

I definatly have more respect for the subtlety of MMA since I've been training (started shortly after making this post actually). There's a lot to the sport that a casual observer will never know.


However, Bruce Lee is still the man.
