Claypool has done a ton of side bands

Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains is an excellent one. As well as Holy Mackerel, High Ball with the Devil. He also has a self named band. Very much into the jam band scene after Primus died down.

Claypool plays Animals very well. The cd is the tits. I can only imagine seeing Claypool do the entire Animals album live. It is obviously beautiful from the watching the video.

The Oysterhead show at roo this year was weak.

I don't just view him as a bass player.

he really knows how to jam shit out. just his pressence on stage totally changed the music.

you could have another guy learn the same bass lick as les but come no where near his ability.

Les Claypool is a man... a manly man... a manly man who has been among many men. That being said, I enjoy his music, but I've grown out of it somewhat... I used to be obsessive... Now I just listen every now and then for nostalgia.

i love all les bands but you just cant top primus imho.
les himself has sayed that the roudy frat boy jerk off atitude that surounded primus was a key factor to them taking a break. but now that there back i think they have entered a whole new era. there home town show was fucking out of control. by far the most crazy and primal show i have ever seen
