last year was my first year and it seemed pretty cool to me so i think i will be goin back i just looked and you can get tickets for 125 right now so i will be goin back..i think all of the shroomery member that go should meet up..i think it would be cool to see our fellow shroomers!!!

we did that last year.

Yoschie99 has some pictures if you can get to the bonnaroo thread in the gather and travel forum you can skim through the 20+ pages of posts to find it, I know it is towards the end.

We had a main Camp Shroomery right outside Centeroo gates, but most everyone else had their own camping spots.
There were about 10-15 shroomerites that were there and a few people who stopped by that I only vaguely remember someone telling me they stopped by.

haven't been since 03, but i think i'll be there this summer.

normally i much prefer going on tour instead of festivals (the latter tend to have way too many frat-boi types who never go to shows, have no sense of etiquette or road-smarts, and just like to get spun for a few days. not that there is anything inherently wrong with that, it's just not really my scene)

Yes, there are a bunch of douchebag frat boys, but the upside is that they usually get so wasted or freak out on shrooms/acid that they are spent after the first night and you really dont see them after that.
Most of them can't hang, especially in the blistering bonnaroo sun after pounding 8 beers and passing out in their puke underneath a moderately shady tree at 11 in the morning.

I have never had any problems with other people at Bonnaroo, outside of the completely geeked out conversations I have had which I desperately wanted to get away from.

yeah i didnt get to attend any of the shows last year. i was supposed to have a ticket from a buddy and on the day we were supposed to leave he told me he didnt have it so i went without a ticket..i snuck into bonnaroo but wasnt able to get into centeroo to see the show so that suced but i would like to get an RV and go this year

Every year I have gone, I have had all these bands I wanted to see, and it became this chore to go see this band, and then run over here for this other band.....

fuck that.

Last year i went by myself, slept by myself with just a sleeping bag under the stars and then found camp shroomery the next day. I also made a promise to myself to just do whatever I felt like at that moment and not push myself to go see this band or this band.
I realized that every single part of Roo is happening, and no matter where you are at, you will enjoy yourself.... so i did.
i saw maybe 4 hours of total music.
Even if the line-up sucks this year, i will probably go, because where else can you go to a Disneyworld like place entirely engineered for people tripping?
I had so much fun tripping face playing ping pong with strangers, jamming at the VW garage, beating on the 2 huge metal collages with 20 other people making some awesome industrial drum circle shit, watching the laser shows, seeing the upright citizens brigade while peaking, and then coming down in the movie theatre and falling asleep.... then gorging myself on an 8 pound organic burrito.

it is hedonism at its best. the best place in the world to trip.....

Check the Gathering forum. If you don't see it yet just stick around and post some more and then you'll get access.

Last year's gathering was organized in the Gathering forum. I didn't end up finding the camp, but apparently it was probably just a few hundred feet from where I was camped. We were set up real nice at the gates of Centeroo so we had a minute walk to get to all the music. We didn't even have to leave our camp for Petty.

It was an incredible fest last year and a lineup that, in my eyes, will be very hard to beat. For that and monetary/school reasons I probably won't go this year. But if they release a lineup that blows my socks off I'll scrape together some cash to hit it up again this year.

I think there will be much more organization this year. Not that blissed did a bad job, just certain things didnt happen as good as they were supposed to.

The best thing would have been to place a sign on the fence with some word or sign so you would know the camp was in that area.

Sadly, I was camped way way back, the first time I wasnt parked as close as possible, and I had to walk about a half mile with all my shit just to find the area the camp was in.

not in my experience.

the first three years, i got there a few hours after they openned the gates and got parked real close.
Then last year i got there at about 2 am on Friday morning/thursday night
and i was parked way tha fuck back.

Hm, might be whatever entrance you go in. We went in a different way last year and got the very worst car-camping spot in our history of Roo. That's why we hiked it in to the camping only and when I got to it there was pretty much nobody there. They were landing helicopters and shit in the camping areas. By the time we got all the gear from our car, got set up then they started filling up the spaces around Centeroo.
