I think my dog is dying....

He sleeps in the bathroom at night time because it's too cold outside..

One morning about a week ago he came out limping and acting weird.

I was in the bathroom just now watching him..


I don't even think he is all there..in the head I mean..
He's acting so fucking different..
Looking around like something is in the air..
Breathing quickly..
Licking at nothing and sometimes his legs..

My parents called the vet and they said to just wait it out.

but..

It's sad..I grew up with him..

Time for Starbucks and cigarette. -_-

this is the one part i dont like about having a pet, sooner or later you have to see them go. My cat murph who ive had for almost 18 yrs now is barely able to jump up on the couch, he had a stroke last year right in front of his food dish. Im really not looking fwd to the day i get that call.

He's like 11 years old.  A Chiuahuah.  Stroke sounds like a good possibility.

At 1st glance that last picture looked like 4 dogs having a grand old time.

Then I looked closer.

2 goats?  Are those your goats?  They seem to not mind the dogs too much.  And, 11 years old is not that old for a chihuaha, as small dogs tend to live much longer than big ones.  Maybe there's something you can do for him. I hope he gets better.  :heart:

My last dog "yankee" was about 15 years old when he had a stroke...poor guy was paralyzed on his entire left side, and could barely lift his head to say 'hi'...was still able to wag his tail though when he seen me.

Putting him down was the hardest thing I've ever had to do...I cried like a school girl.

I still miss that little bastard.

They're pygmy goats, and they were really awesome pets.  They pretty much thought they were dogs.  We had a dog house and all four animals would cuddle up together at night.  :sun:

small dogs have a shorter lifespan. but small dogs also break their bones easily from jumping/landing. he could have a broken leg and just be acting weird from the pain.

I really hope so. He's just laying on his blanket not getting up at all...has been since last night.
