user option?

could we have a user option to move threads you start
into your journal?

i was actually thinking about that the other day

i kinda wanted to move my warcraft thread into my journal.. that would be cool.

Perhaps to move a carbon copy of the thread to one's journal, but I couldn't foresee the ability to suddenly pull one's thread from a forum into one's journal. :grin:

That sounds like it could be useful. I like the copy idea better though, so threads will remain in the index and still be searchable.

This could be especially useful in the case of OTD where threads expire, yet you might want to keep a copy of one before it dies.

It's not a bad idea, it would just take some work. There isn't any existing code in the BB to copy a thread, so everything would have to be written from scratch. But I'll keep it in mind and may add it when I'm feeling adventurous :wink:.

to move threads to personal journals if requested?

Unfortunately not at the moment, journals aren't "real" forums so they don't appear on the list when you go to move a thread. Another hurdle on the way to the feature you request :wink:. But I should be able to get to it eventually.
