WTF..can someone explain...

can someone please explain what exactly a Data Disk is/does.

My friend just gave me all of My Morning Jacket's CDs...and also a Data Disk with all the albums on it. I have no idea what a data disk is seeing as i am not that technology savy...but im hoping it allows me to get all the CDs on my MP3 without actually burnng them individually? Any help would be appreciated..?

also...MMJ is fucking sweet...i def reccomend them to the PUB

your question is kinda vauge, is it a zip disk? a USB drive? floppy disk? all these can be called a data disk. Is the data disk mabey a CD with the song files on it?

Data disks are simple, its just well data on a disc.

So you will be fine, I often stick movies and such on DD, and because its hard to run one doc or movie when there are about 5 large files per disc, I just copy it to the desktop, watch it, and delete it afterwards.


can someone tell me how to set up nero or a similar progam so that I can make DVDs that can have multiple files that all can play of most DVD players?
I know this can be done.

Think of it like an old school diskette. It's a CD with a bunch of audio files on it. Probably playable in most newer CD players.

Throw it in your CD drive and open it like any other drive/folder. From there you can transfer them to your MP3 player.

Are you asking for a way to convert .mpg or.avi or other such video files to dvd video that you can record onto a dvd disc?

Or are you asking of a way to convert those files onto a cdr disc that will play in dvd players?

Both can be done quite easily.

Check out www.vcdhelp.com. They have several detailed guides to burning and authoring DVDs.
