Wow, nice pickings.

I'm no pro with the Amanitas, so I am not keen on making positive ID's with the genus. They do look like good ringers for A. muscaria var. formosa. Wait for second opinions.

Oh, and IF they are, make sure you dry them out before you eat them, that converts much of the muscimol to ibotenic acid.

I cant give you a positive on anything, but the last ones do look like amanita's not sure what kind. also, the orange ones on the third pic down resemble these buggers that grow like mad on a stump in my backyard, anybody have a clue what they are? they're the most brilliant orange I've ever seen.

Quite the mixed collection there.

Looks like you do have some Amanitas, Russulas, etc.

In this pic, the purplish mushrooms on the right are Laccarias. I pick them all the time. Trying to find some recently myself: http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m309/gillen_199/mushroom029.jpg

You don't appear to have any psilocybin active species in there..

As for the Amanitas... did any of them have any more distinct rings at the base of the stem? I wouldn't commit on anything without being able to see more convincing pics of the base of the stem. Some of the rings can fall off or be harder to see in certain specimens.

Are you ever going to start making descriptions with your finds and creating an ID request the right way!? :argh:

Those yellow amanitas dont seem to have the shaggy rings at the base but they do look like formosas. I dont think you should eat them - I've never seen A. muscaria without very blatent rings on the basal bulb. The little one on the left does seem to have them though, so I dont really know what to tell you.

I'd say toss them, its not worth the risk. The more I look at the stems the darker they seem, and maybe I'm imagining it but are there small flakes near the base? They could very well be [url=

i see some Clitocybes, russlas, amanita, mycenas, laccaria, lactarius, Hygrophoropsis, lepiotas, tricholomas.

But nothing remotely suggestive that you came within a mile of the right habitat to find actives in ontario.

sorry.

stick to dungheaps and rotting straw untill late september, Then begin looking in sage grass.

if youre looking for actives, you aren't going to find any in the places THOSE puppes grew.

I wouldnt know where to start - id guess you have one of every family there, amanita, hypholoma, laccaria, russula, possibly mycena and agrocybes, etc. get some psilocybes and a few corprinus and your laughing
