Best use of myspace I've ever seen
    #5992750 -

A friend of mine died on July 1st of this summer. I knew his older sister and he was one of those younger kids that not only did we let hang out with us, we WANTED him to come along because he was a very talented musician and a really funny kid.

All around, it was really sad and it hit us out of nowhere as he died of alcohol poisoning in his sleep after 4+ years of living the drinking lifestyle all of us in Alaska did. Anyway I ran across his myspace today, and it damn near brought a tear to my eye, to see all the things his friends continue to say about him, reading how much they miss him.

That's his page if you want to look.

I had one of my best friends die in a car accident and his sister started a tribute page. It's helped her deal with it pretty good. I agree, it's the best use of myspace that I've seen.

Isn't it strange that the first 5-6 people have the name Kaitelyn, Caitlyn etc.

I have two friends that we have done that for. It really is a good use of myspace, but everytime I here the music and see their faces I get the chills.

Pumping my old post for new sad reasons :frown:

Another good friend and previous roommate of mine was killed early early Wednesday morning.  First it was called a suicide, now it's being investigated as a homicide.  Being in Arizona is so hard right now, I've called several people in Alaska to make sure they're all doing okay, but I wish I could be there.

His myspace made me cry, I just looked it up today, not knowing what really happened is so much worse than it just being an accident.

A friend of mine also has a myspace page that is more of a memorial now. He overdosed and lost his life...I knew him since we were about 10, and knew his family well. He pierced my tongue when I was 15 or so, and now he's just gone. Some of the comments on there are really heart wrenching. I think his older sister logs into it once in a while, to keep in touch with his old friends.

Yeah looking at the pages are really hard. Especially seeing my buddy and his little brothers and sisters right on the main page. I can't imagine those poor kids not even knowing if their brother was shot or shot himself.

Here's to hoping Private Investigators are all they're cracked up to be. I should start a community fund to help pay for it.

That must be awful.  At least in my friend's instance they have some closure of knowing what happened.  I thought he was clean though, or at least mostly clean.  I guess I was mistaken :frown:  I still feel guilty, I didn't go to the funeral...at the time for some reason, the idea of looking his family in the face and trying to say something to help in any way seemed so hopeless and impossible, that I just stayed home and looked at his page, and looked through old pictures.

When I started becoming friendlier with him when I was like 13-14, he gave me a spare copy of a CD he had.  It was the 1st metal CD I ever owned.  I still love the album to this day, and him giving me that CD turned me on to the whole genre of music.  It's such a shame when young poeople die :frown:

What kind of scumbag would "hijack" a dead person's myspace page?

Might be time to just blaze and leave the drinking lifestyle behind brother
Sorry about both of your friends, I don't know what I would do if even ONE of my friends died, it was too rough dealing with my grandfather years and years ago when he got cancer, I can only imagine how much it must suck to lose a friend in the prime of life.

I know this might sound absurd, but at least they don't have anything to worry about, once your dead, you are at rest, no more worries or fears.

Stay strong.

Some sad stuff guys. Shit's real. Sorry to hear about the losses. I feel for you guys. Death can't be too bad tho. Its just a function of the universe. It's supposed to happen. It can't be that bad can it?
