New P2p coming to life
    #5932365 - 08/04/06 06:38 PM (17 years, 5 months ago)

Hey everyone. I know alot of you out there are looking for easy to use p2p applications. Such as Lime wire. I've seen alot of post on it lately. I recommend learning bit-torrent, but i know most of you aren't computer savvy or just don't catch on to the lingo easily. Most of you want an install and click client.

This application is promising to commercialize bit torrent much like lime wire did with the Guntella network. Its still in a beta faze but looks to be promising. So here you go. Try it out. See if it works for you.

μTorrent could kick that thing's ass.

Yep I agree. Torrents are way better. Just thought I would offer people the alternative that don't like to take time to read and learn.

Oh its not the typical warez you are probably thinking of. Just so you know.

This is not just an upgrade to the previous releases; it is a complete new rewrite, starting from the ground up.

Previous releases of Warez P2P have intermittently piggybacked on the Ares P2P network, but this version severs all remaining ties to the Ares network.

“The iP2P network was engineered from scratch to address the needs of the expanding world of distributing large media files and the fast growing P2P community. The iP2P network infuses our proprietary network technology with DHT and BitTorrent compatibility to create a fully decentralized, secure community that is highly scalable and efficient,”

Warez is the first to use this network. Therefor making it brand new. Ya dig.

I just thought I would offer it. I haven't downloaded it or used it but there is alot of buzz about it so I thought I would give others a chance to try it. I only use news groups and torrents myself.

μTorrent

My fav bit-torrent client by far. Light and gets the job done. Even helps you set your settings.

μTorrent is great for people who don't mind making the slight time investment to configure it the way they like it. But a little tinkering around is unavoidable with bittorrent... at the least you need to set up a static IP and (if you have a router) the proper port forwarding.

Yep thats what im saying. I love μTorrent. I have mine all tweaked out. I can get 1.3mb download per second on good servers like TorrentLeech with it.

But yes to get blazing speeds with bittorrent you need to read and learn a few things. Thats what im saying most people dont want to take the time to learn. Thats why I like to offer up easy to use clients for them like this one here.

Soulseek

Amazing community. I love soulseek. My only issue with it is you will get people that set their upload speeds really low and it could take forever to get what you want.

I now only use soulseek if what I want isn't on Onik.me.uk  which is fairly often since I like underground hard to find stuff.

You will almost always find what you want at soulseek. Thats why I love it so

Where would you suggest going to read up on getting high speeds when downloading torrents? The fastest I've achieved was 580kbps from demonoid. When downloading from sites like mininova, torrentspy, fulldls, piratebay etc I can only get around 30 - 100kbps.

I use utorrent as well.

With the Lime wire scare I suggest you might try this new warez client. http://www.warezclient.com/

Or move over to frost wire.

www.frostwire.com

Even better yet go to soulseek.
http://www.slsknet.org/

Or maybe step up to bit-torrent
http://www.slyck.com/bt.php

If your daring use the grand daddy of the all
News Groups:
http://www.slyck.com/ng.php

Whatever you do.. expand your p2p horizons. I bet money you are glad you did. Lime wire has sex with donkeys for money
