Good Racing games

What are some good racing games? Last good one I played was GT4 or Forza Motorsports. I was disappointed with Project Gotham 3 though it had great graphics and Most Wanted for the 360. Any suggestions? I am more interested in racing games like Forza or GT4 in which you can upgrade your car. Thanks for any responses.

The GT series is really the best game out there for racing.....GT5 is coming out real soon for PS3 and other systems...so keep an eye out for it.
