That's the most mis-leading headline ever. Especially the "so fast.." part because nothing is going faster than c here. The light propagates along at its usual speed in the medium, it's only the group velocity which is negative so nothing is actually going backwards either. A nifty trick but nothing like the headline would suggest.

The headline is misleading, but the story itself is not. The researcher is very clear that information is not going faster than light.
