Yo Blaze! Nice tanks bro. My wife and I are fishkeepers ourselves, except we moved recently and only have 1 tank right now. My wife keeps Tanganyikan cichlids and I've always had a couple of South Americans onhand until the move. I'll ask her for some photos and post them after dinner. So check back later tonite or tomorrow.
Welcome to the Shroomery! Cheers!!

Very excellent tank! I used to have a 38 gallon bow front tank... kept a discus and a few other small fish. The black gravel with live plants is the exact same scheme I used to use.
I stopped keeping fish a while ago, and now my sister uses that lovely bow front tank for her two rats.

that looks like a great hobby... I would totally do a fish tank with some water plants. Did you start any of the plants from seeds? I would grow some edible seaweeds and some lotus and lilly plants with fish that like that kind of thing

There is our 20-long filled with rocks and afican cichlids. I can't list the fish, they don't even have common names yet, but my wife knows most of them. There are 12 fish in the tank, and I think I counted 7 in the picture. A pair of them bred last year and we need to find another tank to keep that pair seperated and see if we can get another batch of babies.
Here's a convict cichlid (striped, hiding) and a Texas cichlid in a tank from serveral years ago.

A 10g of mine with neolamprologus brichardi and julidochromus marleri's.
My 29g which has grown a lot and a few additions.. houses 2 pairs of breeding german blue blushing angels now, no other community fish:
My 55g community african cichlid tank got redone into a cynotilapia frontosa tank. These are fairly old images and I can never really get the camera to take the pics right. Wish I had a new one of my 29g tank, both my anubias barteri and anubias nana are flowering which is quite stunning...

Some more great pictures! I love that flower! I've never had luck with live plans, cuz my cichlids like to tear them up. 5 Shrooms for the aquariasts! :-)

neolamprologus brichardi and julidochromus marleri are two of my favorite fish!
I have a brichardi in my current tank (which Gr8fulJ posted above), as well as...
a Dickfeldi Cichlid (julidochromus dickfeldi),
a White calvus Cichlid (Altolamprologus calvus),
a Buescheri Cichlid (Neolamprologus buescheri),
a Gold Sexfasciatus Cichlid (Neolamprologus sexfasciatus),
and six Neolamprologus multifasciatus. Those last six are evil, and are causing all the disruption in my tank right now, and they need to be separated! I have a mated pair, and four of their children, and they just wreck havoc on all the other fish, which is silly because they are the smallest in the tank. This is a pic of the two oldest children:
And they are mean!
I also used to keep a tank of pearly ocellatus (Neolamprologus meleagris) which are small shell-dwellers, full of personality, and even fiercer than the multis, and unfortunately not allowed in the state of Hawaii.
This is a pic of Meeko, my little brother's leopard gecko
And here is pic of me in God's aquarium, which depsite all our best efforts, we can just never match with a patch of water in a little glass tank.
Fist tanks rock, and they provide a relaxing environment, and actually lower the stress levels of the rooms that they are in- 'tis a proven fact. As Gr8fulJ said, we used to have several fish tanks, with I think 5 being set up at any given time. Gr8fulJ gave me my first cichlid tank, and I will never go back! They are such intelligent and interesting fish, and they are so fun to watch grow and interact. I lost all of the fish in that first tank except for the two little multi's and the white calvus due to a broken heater. I have no idea how the calvus survived the hot water, and the two multis buried themselves in the gravel to keep cool until I came to their rescue. It was a sad day, and I'm so thankful to have these fish (and their babies!) with me now. I apologize for the long ramble, but my fish are like my pets, and they mean the world to me. I mean to set up another tank here in the near future, and I'll take some good photos when I do.
Peace all you fishy friends
