Mint leaves in your joint?

I recently heard of cigaretts that have a mix of mint leaves and tobacco, and it sounded pretty good. I was wondering if the same thing could be done with a joint? Or would smoking pure mint leaves not be the best idea?

I do it frequently. Quite nice- actually mint leaves are one of the easiest things to smoke.

it adds a nice falavour, but dont think it'd really change the buzz at all.

An ex of mine would mix in a few different herbs/spices into his joints. It'd cover up the smell of weed quite nicely (when smoking in clubs, or walking down the street - quite handy), and made for a nicer taste. But, dont think it changed the high/buzz at all. Just made for a smoother, more flaverfull smoke.

My bud is sweet enough, I dont need any lame ass fillers,be it tobaco or harsh pointless non high contributing herbs.

One of the best smokes I had, was at my friends on 4:20.

top quality bud + hooka + mint tobbaco + heating rock. You couldnt even feel the smoke go down, and when it came up it was SO damn smooth and tasted like candy, you could get huge ass hauls off of it, and not even get a cough.

after a few rounds on that + all the weed/booze going on before/after/during, I simply could NOT function.

was great.

Just a bit off topic, but when I was in Amsterdam a few, well 6 years ago, everyone there mixes tobacco into their joints.

God damnit.

They've got the finest bud you could come across. Smells that make you close your eyes, tilt your head back, and say, "That's the stuff"

And they all throw dirty ass harsh tasting nasty brown cheap ugly vile rank stinky gross hurty shit into their joints!
I just want to shake them and say, "What the hell are you doing?!?!?!"

But mint sounds neat. Especially for cheaper bud.

ewww personally i hate menthol cigs so smokin pot with a menthol taste would jus piss me off but if thats what you're into then i'd say go for it i doubt it would ruin the high....

I despise menthol butts. Wouldn't smoke 'em if I had the choice between that and nothing (when I used to smoke ciggs.) Go to a farmer's market, whole foods/health food store and get some fresh bulk mint. Most places carry at least peppermint and spearmint- it's the stuff people use for tea. Menthol cancer sticks have pure menthol crystal added to them, the mint leaf is much less intense, less chemical tasting.

And, for the record, it has absolutely no impact on the high, unless you use so much that you end up smoking less. Which I wouldn't suggest, although I have smoked a bowl of mint (out of curiosity).

A friend of mine picks his own herbs in the woods, dries them, and roles "herbies"... some of the herbs that I know he uses are k'nickinik (sp?), mullen, mint, rasberry... there are plenty more.

I also from time to time buy a "herbal smoking mix" from a store in town, it has about 5 - 10 different herbs mixed together... it tastes nice. It is good to mix with bong tokes, or to smoke while on psychedelics (because smoking is so fun while trippin).

A really simple mix is just rasberry and mint leaves. crumble some into the bottom of the bowl for a bong toke... it's pretty nice.

yeah that's what a lot of people said to me when I said "naw it's just a herbal joint".

It is probably the smarter way of looking at it... but I like it nonetheless once in awhile heh :smile:

i often use Catnip (nepeta cateria) if i feel the need to spin, or even just a plain catnip joint for relaxation.

or if you particularly like mint flavour, try Catmint.

both contain the same active nepetalactones, mild sedative effect. good for getting sleep without bud :wink:

Sounds cool to maybe cover up the smell or somthin, I would prefer all weed though. Its not like weed has a nasty taste to it, and more stuff in the joint would just be more tar in your lungs, and it wouldn't be contributing to your high.
