The last version of Madden I've played was Madden '94 for SNES. hah. After that I stopped playing sports games because they became too elaborate for my liking. I watch my brother play and he's pretty good but we don't have an online adapter.

Madden '05 was much better IMO than '06. The thing about blitz is, it didn't play like a real football game, an arcade version if you will. Any "realistic" football games that you play (there are a lot) will play pretty much like '06. If you get someone else to play with it is 10x better than playing the computer..

FUCK DUDE!
I was playing this the other night and I couldn't get more than 5 completed passes in a game.
The highest score I got was 12.

I'd like to play this.

Just turn off the quarterback "field vision" mode under custom game options. You won't have to deal with all the sacks anymore.

It helps tremendously to know football. As someone said earlier, it is not the arcade style football game. It takes a solid grasp of fundamentals to play good. Combine that with well-rounded stick skills and you'll be well on your way. Go through whatever training lessons they have over and over. Learn about real football strategy(books, online, sports shows, etc.) And once you have all that down, you will be able to watch football games with much more in-depth knowledge and appreciation AND beat the shit out of your friends for money

bah,... i dont like 06 with that qb vision.. its annoying.. i use to play 05 all the time. compared to madden, blitz is like a little kids game.... just like mvp2005 compared to slugfest05

yeah, once you figure out you have to change the setting on NCAA it is much better. I thought the game was much too slow, until my friend showed me to put it on a higher skill level
I still like madden '05 better though

The game ended up being me vs. my dad (a college football player/ coach) just picking plays and not really even controlling players.
He kicked my ass, so now he's going to buy it since it's the only game he can beat me at.

if your not familiar with madden.. then go to the training camp part... it shows you how to do certain things... like the swim move for a d-line player, how to run good(stiff-arm, spin, hurdle).. and you cant actually control the blocker in front of you now too..... theres just a shit load of scenarios that help you out alot once you master them
maddens are good games.. i over played them though... now im addicted to mvp05.. which i will soon be sick of.. and ill have to start playing madden again
