Recipes - Cooking w/ Shrooms?
    #458202 - 11/14/01 02:30 PM (22 years, 30 days ago)

hey folks-

i hope this isn't a waste of bandwidth. i've been looking all over the shroomery for recipes and methods of cooking cubies, but i haven't found anything. i'm i overlooking the obvious? what forum would those things be found in? i searched for "mushroom recipes" etc but couldn't find anything.

anyway, i've only eaten mushrooms dried before (until last week . . . finally got to try fresh ones), but i'm interested in making a batch of tea or some mushroom pate or something for a group environment. anyone wanna point me in the right direction?

thanks! stay safe!
-bizarro

First time trying tea i ate them (or most of them). It's bad ... it's really bad ...shroom tea tastes kinda ok but the mushrooms you used will seem to be rubbery, moist, and will be kinda hard to chew through... it's a really unpleasant feel in you mouth (the taste isn't REALLY bad but still not really appetizing.)
All in all last time i made shroom tea from about 6.5g of dried mushrooms i split it with a friend and he still ate a little of the used mushrooms but the first one i tried too eat was so discusting that i almost had to throw up so i stopped and only having drunk the tea the trip was an amazing blast, really there was no loss in intensity at all... in my opinion when u let your mushrooms simmer for about 20 minutes you don't need to eat the remains !!
Just drink and have fun ... be prepared for a very quick onset ... man i was getting nervous like hell... when it came on i was shaking nervous everything ... it sucked but once the trip was on ... it was cool and relax again
