I'd forgotten about the insane goodness of t his band. It had been years since I listened to them. Anyone else listen to this stuff?

Mike Patton was in that band wasn't he? I like Faith No More. Falling to Pieces is one of my favorite songs. Never really heard Mr. Bungle though.

Yeah, Patton is in it. He's been in a lot of other projects as well. TOmahawk, Peeping Tom, Fantamos, and some stuff he has done, but Bungle is my favorite. It's very experimental and covers a wide variety of musical genres.


I'll use the upload feature to upload a song or two.

Yes, both of those are good tracks. My favorite one Is My Ass Is On Fire.
I also like Backstrokin and Squeeze Me Macaroni.

I was going to upload some tracks in this thread, but there is like a 5 MB limit per attachment, and most of their songs are bigger than 5 mb.

ok...time for some clarification from a pretentious music snob (me).

1) Mike Patton is only the singer of Mr Bungle, the person who actually composed a good majority of the music was Trey Spruance and Trevor Dunn, who were in mr bungle as well. Both of them have gone on to make much better albums, and better bands.

2) I love bungle, but it seems to me that their very little popularity only came about because of the name Mike Patton, and even worse, sometimes just referenced by "that guy from Faith No More".

3) Zorn either produced or recorded their albums, I cant remember which, but Disco Violentia (their best album IMO) has a very Zorn-like quality to it.

4) If you like Mr bungle, check out Secret Chiefs 3, Danubius, Estradasphere, Zappa (of course), and Zorn.

5) I usually have found that anyone who vehemently dislikes Mr bungle and the likes, usually watches Dawsons Creek, the OC, Third Eye Blind, Matchbox 20 and everything else that is comprised of talentless hacks.
