Childhood cartoons.

I miss the old cartoons they used to have. The ones for kids, I mean. They just aren't the same anymore.
My favourites were:

I found it hilarious that every monster in The Mighty Hercules sounded the same.

Hey, paisanos! It's The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!

Sonic The Hedgehog had some bad-ass shows as well but my favorites were Tom & Jerry, Looney Tunes and Woody Woodpecker.

Tom and Jerry rocked. I used to like Woody until I got older. Then he just became annoying.

Then there's always gems like Heathcliff (one of my all-time favorites!), Fat Albert, Transfomers....the list goes on.

Cartoons today don't come close to comparing.

Then there were the early-90's cartoons like Dark-Wing Duck, The Goof Troop, and Tailspin.

I remember when the first Gulf War started...it totally cut into all my cartoon time on TV! I was PISSED! :smirk:

Ok there's an old 80's cartoon that drtyfrnk and I can't seem to remember the name of! See if anyone here knows what I'm talking about...

It took place in a large "metropolis" city, and involved the cops of the city and an organized-crime gang who's boss was just named "Big Boss" or something like that. There was a guy on it who had this techno-wrist-brace thing that he could shoot stuff with.

Not surprisingly...the episode that sticks most vividly in my memory was a two-part episode where a new crime lord had brought some CRAZY drug into the city. The drug looked like little gemstones and you would place it on your skin so it would soak in. At the end of the first part, Big Boss' son fell into a crate FULL of the gem-drug things and obtained a massive overdose. In the second part Big Boss and the Cops joined teams to try and oust the drug-lord.

At the time I remember thinking "wow! what kind of crazy drug is THAT!?!?!" :smirk:

Any ideas?

Tiny toons and Animaniacs were good too..I watched those cartoons and I was in my early 20's at the time, never too old for certain cartoons!
