The Lowest Point of Security

On September 11th, there was a massive failure in the government. Most of the information the government was receiving, including the President, Vice President, Secretary of Defense and really everyone that mattered, was coming from television, mostly CNN. The FAA, or the administration that was supposed to be dealing with this, had the most massive failure of all by not communicating any of its information or doing anything really. The following conversations came from them, after both of the Trade Centers and the Pentagon had been crashed into:

COMMAND CENTER: Uh, do we want to think about, uh, scrambling aircraft?
FAA HEADQUARTERS: Uh, God, I don't know.
COMMAND CENTER: Uh, that's a decision somebody's gonna have to make probably in the next ten minutes.
FAA HEADQUARTERS: Uh, ya know, everybody just left the room.
