Yeah NiN is fucking awesome! I don't like their newer stuff as much though. Head like a hole is still one of my favorite songs. :smile:

I have no beef with Manson. He's put out some good music. I just didn't like the whole "Antichrist Superstar" publicity stunt him and Reznor cooked up. It really did MAKE Manson's career though so maybe it was genius on their parts.? :shrug:

I used to be really into punk, I listen to a lot of hip-hop now. Also a lot of rock I got from my dad. Steve Miller Band, Floyd, I got into GD... pretty much everything except country music. You should check out my music collection.

I thought that Antichrist stuff was awesome STRICTLY because it pissed so many people off.

I found it funny, and he was making good music so why the fuck would I care where he stood religiously.

Oh and when I talk about NiN, I mean their old stuff ofcourse. I used to listen to them in the 90's, and they fucking rocked.

I've actually been looking to acquire 'Pretty Hate Machine' on vinyl.  It's not been pressed anymore (naturally), but I will find a way to get a copy.

And yeah, pretty much everything MM does is a publicity stunt.  AntiChrist SuperStar was an opus of pure ingenuity.  Musically and promotionally.  IMO.

Yeah true I understand your stance. I just thought it was kind of :lame:. Don't get me wrong though I had the album a few weeks after it was out. I think I was in 6th grade at the time. hah.

I give Reznor more credit to the whole gimmick than I do Manson himself. You do know he produced and co-writ the album?

I did a little bit of time in the punk scene. The music was pretty cool, but the people sucked.

Every time I see the goths from South Park it makes me think of them.

"Punks" are some of the coolest, most down to Earth people I know. Sure, there's a bunch of assholes in there that you talk shit too, but in my experience there isn't a greater group of guys I know.

All this talk of 90's rock, and we left out Guns n Roses and Soundgarden.

I listened to them a lot when I was younger. Especially Guns n Roses. I saw them play right after Use Your Illusion came out. Omg it was fucking awesome.

Guns and Roses is another very good band for sure! Just popped on Knockin on Heavens door after you posted that. hah. That's one of my all time favorite songs. :smile:
