Magic Eye Mushroom

Remember those Magic Eye books? You have to look at it just right... Should be one 3d mushroom. If you see two, its because you've crossed your eyes a little too far. Try again, you'll get it. Just learned how to make these so I'm practicing. Thanks for looking!

yep it does. I'm just learning, but there are programs you can download. You make a black/white picture that the program uses for depth, and then pick a texture which is mapped around it.

Thanks everyone! You can get the program from http://www.tucows.com Just search for stereogram. The file should only be around 2.5 megs and its really easy to use. I'll find the black and white picture for you melting, just a sec.

All you have to do is make a black and white image similar to the one below. This is used by the program to calculate elevation. Thanks again for the feed back everyone, since that last one I've made an MJ leaf, woman, hand with a peace symbol on it and a few others. Only takes like 20 or 30 minutes to make 'em. Lol maybe I should try and sell "Magic Eye for Druggies"

I remember writing a program to do that once. It worked, but you had to run it with a debugger present. I did it for a school presentation. For the texture pattern I used a clip from evergreens, after it was used to make the stereogram it looked like a screenful of pot. But when you focused like any stereogram you'd see some 3d picture.

My father was lost in an OS upgrade accident. We hijack http client and make this remains for him:
