Well mainstream is also a non-defenite word. To me mainstream is rap, huge country artists, the latest emo punk band, etc.

Subjective is a funny thing. And yeah, I need to get some sublime or 311.

I'd suggest Pavement, Pinback, !!!, Out Hud, Built to Spill, Talking Heads, Beck, Hockey Night, My Morning Jacket, PIXIES, Pulp, and Spoon.

NFG was the latest punk band, and it's mainly that one song. And is MCR that popular? If so..guess I like a mainstream band. I think they're great.
