I used way too much syrup because I could not find any information on the ratio for this particular technique. I was wondering what will happen. There appears to be some mycellium forming, but I could be mistaken. Should I dump it on my outdoor patch, or throw it out, or let it grow?
I'm going to make another LC tomorry, should I take some preexisting mycellium from a wild specimen and put it in the jar?
How long will mycellium live after the mushroom it is on is picked?

Or an easier method if you don't like measuring shit the scienmatific anal way, one teaspoon per quart. An excess will drown the spores not allowing them to produce mycellium, a lot like over feeding fish.

I use a 3% mixture for all my LC's, which seems to do pretty nice. Fill up a jar with 200ml and take an empty syringe, suck up 6cc's, and push it in.

Actually 2 teaspoons per cup is much closer:
Comes to 9.858 ml karo / 236.588 ml water = 4.17% karo (by volume)

1/2 pint = 48 US teaspoons 1/2 pint = 16 US tablespoon
<-- if you want a ratio of 48:1 - use one teaspoon per 1/2 pint <-- if you want a ratio of 24:1 - use two teaspoons per 1/2 pint <-- if you want a ratio of 16:1 - use one tablespoon per 1/2 pint <-- if you want a ratio of 8:1 - use two tablespoons per 1/2 pint
Roadkill's recommendation is 24:1

I used 600ml of water to 18ml Karo in a quart jar. I used a baby bottle to measure the water and a children's medicine dispenser for the Karo. It's cooling now. I will knock up later.
