it contained information on all drugs and also had a messageboard where amateur and experienced chemist talked about the synthesizing of drugs

They had multiple synthesis for any drug you could imagine... I miss em :frown:

Strike going down didn't close the hive. It was up for probably 1-2 years after he was busted.

That's true. What brought it down, then?

I've heard many reasons but I posted one on here a few months back. You should be able to find it with a search. It's a c/p from one of the hive admins posted on wetdreams.

I think the people hosting the site were worried about the traffic it generated for its content. Plus I believe there were some money issues with hosting. People had to be much more concerned with privacy over there than here.

Yeah, I have that show on tape. The way they outed Strike on TV was messed up.

Strike was really stupid the way he handled the whole thing. I mean, running a chem supply house feeding quasi-legal stuff to customers is risky; he should have just kept that going and kept himself as low-profile as possible.

Instead, he published books on clandestine drug manufacture with publishing info that could be easily traced back to him, pushed his company's site URL on the Hive, and then went for an interview with a known hard-hitting investigative journalist?

I feel for the guy, but that was just stupid.

4) We need a smaller, less-intrusive government.
