when it rains it pours!

after 6 months of living in the deserted wasteland known as unemployment i finally got a job at a liquor store, i've had one full day of work there and it isn't so bad. after i got home and ate dinner the phone rings and it's one of the local head shops offering me a full time position :eek:

(in the best of all possable worlds i would go full time with the head shop and go part time to the liquor store)

sigh i'm so excited and confused that i'm gonna crap my pants.

any shop owners/employees out there who can help me *WOW* them?
what would be best to know before hand?
i really want this job, more to be closer to glass blowing, also the perks would be nice.  :scrambled:

I would love to work at a head shop but I'm sure the pay is really crappy. But I might be wrong about that.

You ought to go for it! (the headshop, I mean) It's what you'd like to be doing, anyway. I've worked in a liquor store before, and trust me, it can really suck sometimes...

I was thinking the same thing.

If the headshop isn't matching or doing you better on $$ than the liqour store Id stay where you are. Although Im sure you would get killer deals (wholesale prices) on everything at the shop so it might all even out. Whichever is offering you better take man.

well after my shift at the LQ i hauled ass to the interview and "rocked out with my cock out"

i gave them my A game.

i let them know that the real reason i wanted to work there is to get close to lamp workers (it's absofiggenlutly true!)

we shot the shit and left on a good note.

when i got home i explained to my parents where i was, it's laughable that I'm 25 and still have go through this song and dance :rolleyes:, mom was upset and paid close attention to the dogs and dad, well i had to explain how a glass pipe isn't paraphernalia until it meets MJ. then my mom says " we go to the liquor store and he goes to head shops..." :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

i also suggested that my dad just look at one. i wish i could show his face to you guys, FRIGG'N AWESOME!!!!!

not after an hour later i got a call from the shop...


BOO YA! FUCKING RIGHT DOGGIES!!!! he said i was "perfect" :tongue2:

sorry to over inflate my ego but I've been working towards getting a job at a shop since second semester 2000.

so here i am and i now have 2 jobs (the shop trumps the LQ)

now all i have to do is get the LQ to work around this updated sched(my dad's pissed because the shop pays 1.50 to .50 less than the LQ but i told him that the LQ doesn't provide the access to the connections within the glass world that i am in need of.  his responce was it's easier to feed yourself now than later... :rolleyes:

excited and i start on Sunday.
