crystals on pot??

okay so I thought that if the pot has big giant crystals on it that it was hydro, Some guy last night told me that not all pot with crystal's are hydro. is this true... If sooo I sorry for the stupidest question ever.... I have smoked since I was about 12 you would think I would know this. However I just recently had the privlage of smoking this wonderful lime green bud that we know as hydro... Now I reall have no interest in regular pot. OH WELL :smile:

Crystals on the pot just means that it was a healthy plant that was grown well and is gonna knock you on your ass. Crystals can be found on hydroponically grown pot and normally grown pot. Also, not all hydroponically grown pot will have massive crystals. It all has to do with the grow conditions and I suppose the genetics of the strain too.

And just to clarify, hydro is short for hydroponic, which means the plant was not grown in soil but instead was grown in these spcial type of rocks where the roots of the plant are bathed in water/nutritients.

and hydro does not necessarily = good pot. It just is a more efficient way to grow, albeit a bit more complicated to set up than a soil grow.

Crystals are good but it doesn't necessarily mean it's grown hydro-- in fact hydro doesn't necessarily mean it's good. Unless you grew it yourself, I wouldn't call it hydro. You can't be sure and it's usually just a word dealers throw around to make it sound better.

Yeah I bet most of what dealers call "hydro" was not grown hydroponically.

as others have said hydro is just a technique to grow pot and has nothing to do with the quality
